Although the 3 days, 2 nights event didn’t start until Monday, July 27th, eager divers (such as us) were already at Club Serena as early as Sunday.

This was the announcement from Aqualholics:

Come join us on July 27 and 28 for our First Beach Clean Up for 2009!
Let all do our part in keeping the sea we love clean and trash-free.

P2,500 Package includes:
2 Nights accommodation
Buffet meals: 27th (dinner), 28th (breakfast, lunch and dinner), 29th (breakfast)
2 Dives (scuba rental gear is not free of charge)
1 T-Shirt

It was so much fun and I’m proud to have been part of this event.

Highlights:

• Just being at Club Serena is a highlight by itself. That place does know how to spoil you and all of your five senses. I have a feeling that if I stayed longer than 3 days, I’d come home a spoiled brat.
• Club Serena’s food is absolutely amazing. The fact that we had 3 days of all you can eat buffet was just beyond me. It’s CRAZY!
• Drink all you can beer FOR FREE on celebration night! I KID YOU NOT!
• A lot of very interesting people. Great company. I loved the people who were there. Everyone was just so fun to be with.
• And of course, the dives and beach clean up! I saw at least 3 sea turtles, and I got to help clean the beach and sea!

What you see here is my work chair… or at least what has come of it after months of abuse. You see bits and pieces of duct tapes because Eli said I should never underestimate the power of duct tape. Hah!

Here’s the funny part: It isn’t mine. I just… ummm… found it in the room where our complex’s administration keep unused furniture and decided to bring it to our unit because we’re allowed to do that.

Ok, the latter part I’m not sure but since they never asked, I’ve convinced myself.

The sad part is I loved this chair and I hate it that I can’t lean on the back rest without falling off on one side. But guess what. I’m still sitting on it while writing this blog.
