My Little Southeast Asia Adventure – First Stop: Clark, Angeles City, Philippines
Date: May 30, 2008
Transportation: Cebu Pacific, 10AM
Here, I wrote that I’m going to backpack around Southeast Asia and I’m making it happen. About 2 weeks ago, I contacted couchsurfer Lyn to host me for a night in Angeles City because I can’t make the flight to Kuala Lumpur if I flew in on the same day. It was my first time there, I was her first surfer, and she was my first host.
I like Lyn a lot. She and her family welcomed me with so much warmth I felt like part of the family right away. I’m glad Lyn agreed to host me. She’s an amazing woman. She’s also such a small-framed woman if emotions were things, you’d wonder how she can contain so much strength, wisdom, love, care, determination inside her.
Also, on my first day of this little Southeast Asia adventure, I saw the sharpest, most beautiful rainbow in my life. Rainsbows actually, because there were 2 of them though the one on top was not as strong as the other one. Most rainbows I’ve seen are transparent, but this particular rainbow was so strong it almost look solid.
